How to Eat Better in One Hour
Learn to eat better and crush your goals. It doesn’t have to be hard, it just takes a little work.
Is ‘eat better’ at the top of your resolutions list for another year?
You’re not alone sweetheart. 21% of people have that as their top goal for 2017 and 42% say they never follow through on their resolutions.
You do not have to be part of that 42%
Crush your goals in one hour
Finally, achieving your goals can be done. I doesn’t have to be complicated or hard. It just takes a little work and some fun.
If you want to be a goal digger you need to put in some preventative measures. What’s this mean?
You have to set your life up for success.
It’s pretty hard to eat better if wine and chocolate are staring at you every time you open your cupboards. Spending time to make this happen is going to make huge changes in the way you eat.
Set aside an hour this weekend and set yourself up for success.
Clean out your cupboards, eat better and become a goal crusher
An unorganized kitchen leads to unorganized eating. That leads to bad habits, junk food binges and an unhealthy body.
Here’s how to do it:
- Get a big box and a garbage bag, you’ll need these later
- Clean off your kitchen counters and table
- Take everything out of your cupboards and pantry, yes everything
- Check expiry dates as you take things out. If they’re expired toss them in the garbage bag
- Once everything is out wipe down the shelves. Clean cupboards = clean eating.
- Start putting things back but here’s the trick
Only put back healthy food that will help you reach your goals.
Everything else, gets put in the cardboard box (more on this in a sec)
You’re going to…
Keep quinoa, rice, beans, lentils, spices, tea, coffee, stove top popcorn
Get rid of canned soup, white pasta, cookies, crackers, chips, candy, ramen, anything ‘diet’, ‘sugar free’, anything you cook in the microwave
Your shelves might look a little bare and that’s good. Eating healthy does not come from a box or a minute meal. Eating well is mostly vegetables, fruit and proteins.
Do this again with your fridge.
Get rid of unhealthy sauces, half empty jars of pasta sauce and bottled juice.
Now what about that box…
That’s going to the nearest food bank.
If you’ve got time right after cleaning to take your delivery then that’s ideal but if not, do it when you can. But whatever you do, do not let that box sit in your house!
Put it into your car right away, or if you’re somewhere cold then leave it at the front door.
Nothing is allowed to come back out of that box!
Creating a life you love doesn’t happen overnight. Small changes, everyday, lead up to huge results.
Making healthy choices is much easier when you’re away from temptation. Your home should be a place for you to rest and take care of yourself. Don’t make it hard on yourself.
